3:00pm: Not just in Banff, but of it.
High above Banff Avenue, the road curves upward toward our limestone walls. An enduring legacy, a perch unlike any other, and now, entirely new, warmed up with mineral tones, pale woods, and natural stone, bringing the sense back to why you’re here.
Dressed more like mountain locals, than valet staff, our team will greet you with wide smiles before letting you in on a little secret: directions to a hidden trail where the wildflowers are still blooming, or else a favorite spot to watch the sun drench the valley below with the Rimrock Market’s Goat Lager in hand, and a travel cake stuffed in your satchel.
Let us show you a side of the Rockies you may not have found on your own. But first, let us show you to your room.
You’ve arrived, now enjoy. The scent of pine mixed with espresso strong enough to wake up your legs lingers in the air as you make your way to check in with trail talk all around: Vermilion Lakes are especially beautiful this time of year, and you overhear just enough about Lake Minnewanka to commit it to memory ahead of tomorrow’s planned excursion with the Pathfinders.
5:00pm: Evenings Begin, Stories Unfold
After a few minutes in your guest room, gazing out through picture windows, and a few coveted moments lying horizontally on the plush bed, you pop up, wash up, and head out to Social.
You’ve arrived, now enjoy.
Our modern social club, rooted in the Rockies, is designed for connection. Gather with guests and locals to sip, celebrate, and settle in. As golden hour nears, alpine light pours in, framing Mount Rundle and surrounding peaks. Your server whirls past with menus and another warm welcome.
The hardest part is choosing your first round, the rest comes easy. Espresso martinis, botanical-based cocktails, natural wines, spritzes that mix alpine herbs and summer’s stone fruits. Each cocktail coordinates with crisp, plant-forward plates. Warm olives, hand cut fries, fire-roasted vegetables, and delicate desserts.
Tomorrow, after traversing the Legacy Trail or exploring on e-bike, you’ll return here to snag the soft seats along the windows, before dinner at Parker’s Table.
For now, the night is young, and so are you. The light dims, firelight flickers across the limestone, and ambient music becomes more pronounced. You order a few more plates, recommended by the bartender, along with one more round of drinks to cap off your first night in Banff. Someone hints about a vinyl collection, someone else about a rare whiskey, and your travel companion raises a brow.
Before you know it, hours have passed.
8:00pm: The Suite Life
Bellies full, hearts content, you saunter upstairs. You room is waiting, the beds turned down, the light softened, the coffee service neatly set, and ready for morning.
You notice the reading nook for the first time, and something sparks. This is the kind of place where time slows down. Where moments are felt deeply. Where you can plan the experience, go out and do it, return to your room to recount the best parts.
In the washroom, there’s space to rinse off the day, a steam-filled shower, a gorgeous robe to wrap up in, and wellness amenities that bring the outside in, through scent and scrub.
You step back into your suite, and notice that reading nook, again, from across the room, inviting reflection.
For now though, it’s off to bed. You sink into organic sheets, you try to catch one last glimpse of those panoramic star-filled skies, before your eyelids get heavy, and you dream about what you’ll seek out tomorrow.
