Inspirations from San Clemente’s ecclesiastic and monastic past
Built in 1054, Chiesa di San Clemente became a gathering place for worship and prayer. Centuries later, Benedictine monks continued these faith traditions, weaving and farming in quiet meditation, embodying Ora et Labora (pray and work). Though the friars are gone, their spirit endures. Bell chants echo daily, and the Romanesque-Baroque chapel still hosts weddings and ceremonies. Workshops in weaving and ceramics revive ancient crafts, while reflective walks nurture mindfulness.
