Children’s facilities include an outdoor adventure play area with Tractor Ted, floodlit tennis courts, bicycles, a football pitch, croquet, and walking trails. The Hideaway (free for hotel residents) offers imaginative play, role-play, baby and quiet rooms. The Activity Pod features table tennis and a pool table. Extra beds or cots at £35 per child per day. Babysitting available via Sitters, Hotel Nanny or Elf Sitters. The Walled Garden Restaurant welcomes children of all ages; Restaurant Hywel Jones welcomes children from age 5. At the Spa, children under 16 may use the pool 9–11am and 3–6pm when supervised.

A maximum of 1 to 2 dogs per room is permitted depending on your accommodation. Dogs must be over 1 year old and fully vaccinated. As the estate is home to horses, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are welcome in the reception area and the Walled Garden bar and terrace, but are not permitted in Restaurant Hywel Jones or the main hotel. Dog-friendly rooms are limited — pre-booking via telephone or email is essential. Guests are responsible for any damage or noise caused by their pet.
